what's your full name? are you named after anyone? my full name is eloise keilana grammier and as far as i know i'm not named after anyone but i do have some pretty cool stories about my name. my mom loved the name eleanor but whenever it came time to tell the doctor my name, she wasn't completely coherent and said eloise. how do you get them mixed up? still trying to figure that one out, she claims she was tired. my father is from hawaii, he wanted his kids to have hawaiian based names but mom wasn't having any of that bs. keilana means gloriously calm, which lets be real, is hilarious because i'm not a calm. at all. i've never been calm my entire life so they really jinxed me there. how old are you and when is your birthday? i am twenty eight years old! my birthday happens to fall on april 13th, 1985. where were you born? if not chicago, how did you end up here? i was born in hanalei, kauai, in a very small hospital. we didn't move from kauai to chicago until i was five. my parents divorced so mom decided to go back to the mainland with me and my sister. chicago is where her whole family is from so it was only fitting for her to move back. what do you do for a living? i am a district manager over at nordstrom's and have happily held that title for two years now. while one day i dream of getting out of the retail business, it pays my bills and i love seeing putting smiles on customers faces. tell us about your pets; past or present. i never really had pets growing up which was a real bummer. i had a dog that lived with my dad but i only saw him half the time and i think he hated me. my apartment now doesn't allow large pets so i have a teacup yorkie and just bought a sugar glider. the sugar glider was the last one the guy had and he let me have it for half off, real chill little animal. my son loves it, he'll just sit in front of her cage and talk to it. it probably wants to yell at him since they're naturally nocturnal animals. what kind of movies, music, books, and television do you like? i miss books, my poor kindle is used for everything BUT reading! sadly i have no time for reading, i couldn't tell you the last time i read one. music is another thing that has suffered since i became a mom i've found myself listened to the fresh beat band 20 minutes after dropped my son off at daycare. it's sad. movies and television haven't completely gone out the window though and i have to give credit to the beautiful dvr. i will watch anything seriously. from the history channel to mtv, chances are i've watched it once or twice. where were you five years ago and where do you see yourself in the next five years? five years ago i was 23, what a baby! i had recently graduated with my bachelor's and turned right around to enter the graduate program so i could get my master's degree. in five years from now? i hope to be higher up on the food chain they call management, ideally out of retail. last but not least, tell us something that everyone should know about you. i have a beautiful son named kai abram monroe. did i expect him? nope. i wouldn't trade him for anything either. he will be three years old december first so expect your invite to be in your inbox soon! i've heard it from other mom's and you probably have too but kai came at the right time. he was really a saving grace, i was too focused on work and he's taught me to slow down and smell the roses. he's also taught me how to not be such a perfectionist. common nicknames include: ellie, el, e-lo, lois (for a short time), and sometimes uses her middle name as a first name; being apart of a sorority she gathered plenty of nicknames. in short, ellie has a very bubbly personality and a total people person. she doesn't like to disappoint anyone or make anyone angry, things she's found out about herself whenever she entered the real world. very non confrontational, especially face to face, if given the choice she would choose the whimp way and call/text to break bad news. eloise has a mouth that a dozen bars of soap couldn't clean. she didn't do a lot of partying in college but after graduating, she really let loose until she became pregnant. she's always been a little eccentric but a total people person. she hopes to go back to hawaii soon to learn more about her culture because she never listened to her dad's stories when she was growing up. palerma ride or die girl litwin employee she keeps a close eye on. marlene step sister, everyone loves more family. reymont step brother, her childhood wish come true.
